Why you should Hire Movers Saturday, Apr 26 2008

By Flemming Andersen

Moving is a difficult and stressful time. There are a lot of things that have to be done and it can take a long time to get everything that you want and need to be done. In most cases, there are so many things that have to be packed and loaded up, that time runs out before it all can be achieved.

It can be a helpful idea to hire movers to help with the load of all the work that needs to be done. Movers are there to help with these things so that your life is easier and you can worry about other things that come up when you are trying to move from one location to another. There are many movers in certain areas. All you have to do is find one that you feel comfortable with and you will be ready for the big move.

The first thing that you should do when you are looking for the right movers to help you is search around. You should call around and find out prices first. Another thing that you can do is asked for references from each company. Most of these companies will have references or former customers to help you get a better idea of what the company is like and what you can expect from them.

Once you find the movers that you want to use, you should reserve them for the date that you are going to need them to move you. Most of the time, movers are booked up. For this reason, you should make the reservation early so that you do not end up with no one on the day of your move. In some cases, you may have to pay a deposit or you will have to give them a credit card number so that they can book you for the date.

Getting movers for your move is a smart thing to do and one that you will appreciate very much. You will be glad that someone else is there to help with the packing and unloading. This is a huge help for anyone that is trying to move and work at the same time. Moving takes a lot of time and there are so many little factors that have to be taken care of before you can actually get into the new place. It is so important to make sure that all the little details are taken care of and when you have movers to worry about the other things, you will feel less stressed and more relaxed.

Movers also have insurance to protect them and you incase any items that you are moving get broken or lost. You should always make sure that the movers provide you with their insurance so that you can feel protected and more comfortable with your decision.

How To Use Bad Credit Debt Consolidation UK - Tips Saturday, Apr 26 2008

Bad credit debt consolidation loans are the loans which are offered to people who have had a past of bad credit history. Bad credit history means that a borrower was somehow failed to meet the intended or scheduled repayment scheme that was to be followed. Thus this failing brought about a poor credit score - a credit score is a representation of a person’s financial credit worthiness. Depending on the profile a person with bad credit history may be a default, an arrear or a person who has filled for bankruptcy.

The principle on which the bad credit debt consolidation loans work is, in this loan all the accumulated debt that a person may have from different sources is organized under one head i.e. from a single creditor. This allows the borrower to concentrate on one single creditor and pay the loans of much easily than it originally seemed along with some other benefits. Bad credit debt consolidation loans are also beneficial in other ways to borrowers. Like:

• Bad debt consolidation loans are always offered at lower interest rates than the average interest rate of all the previous debts.

• Some creditors are not professional enough to realize that a borrower may have a problem and do not understand the issue so a person gets organized and professional terms.

• While in the process you will find many other fringe benefits of taking a bad credit debt consolidation loan.

• A borrower can also choose between a secured bad credit debt consolidation and an unsecured bad credit debt consolidation. This allows people who have not been able to take loans because they do not have collateral to apply for these loans as well.

Before the people apply for bad credit debt consolidation loan they can use the following process which is intended to help them.

1. The borrower should first estimate all that is requirements and all the other finer details of the loan.

2. A person should try and use the free quotes that are made available by the creditors and choose one which suits the best.

3. A borrower should not rush for the loan in fact they should talk to few creditors and then choose the one which offers us the most favorable terms. In the meanwhile we can take the advice of the counselors as well.

By following these measures a borrower is likely to get a deal that is perfectly suitable.

In the end after all the steps have been taken and a decision to take a bad credit debt consolidation has been made all is left is for the borrower to do is to apply for the loan. That process is easy and can be done by applying on line or through a local creditor.

Great Exploits… Saturday, Apr 26 2008

You can exploit the enemy’s weaknesses.

Terry Dashner (www.ffcba.com)

Remember Rome’s victory over the Carthaginian navy during the
first Punic War? Knowing that it was useless for Rome to go
toe-to-toe with the superior Carthaginian navy, Rome devised a
plan. Since Rome’s army was the greatest fighting machine in the
entire ancient world, she needed a plan that would capitalize on
her greatest strength–the Roman army. So with a radical idea
implemented, Rome defeated the great Carthaginian navy. Rome
navigated their ships along side the Carthaginians and dropped a
spiked plank, attaching their ships to the enemy’s and thus
providing a ramp on which their soldiers walked across to fight
in hand-to-hand combat. By this method, Rome defeated the
superior navy of Carthage.

I see a parallel in this fact of history to our daily battles
against the forces of evil. The enemy of darkness is no match
for us in our own strength. He is navigating his forces of
darkness all around us, and at times he is striking serious
blows against us. We need a radical plan to exploit his
weaknesses and capitalize on our greatest strengths–the Word of
God! God has such a plan for us. I want to share it with you.
The plan consists of three radical implements of warfare that
are guaranteed to work every time.

Let’s look at these one by one.

The first key to exploiting the weaknesses of the enemy is to
find his weakness (Heb.2:14-15). The one weakness of Carthage
was their inability to fight on land. They were known throughout
history as a great sea power, but they lacked the expertise of
an army. Rome recognized this and took advantage of it. By
finding a way to launch its superior army against the Phoenician
sailors, Rome exploited the Carthaginian’s weakness of ground
fighting and won the war.

We are the children of light in Christ Jesus, but we have an
adversary who wants to defeat us at every turn. His name is
Satan. He is ruthless with his many demons, but he is
vulnerable. He has been defeated at Calvary. The blood of Jesus
whipped him good. If we are going to have any success over
darkness where the devil rules, we must recognize his
vulnerability. The blood of Jesus is our victory over the enemy.
Our stand in faith and upon the Word of God is our advantage
over the enemy. Always fight the enemy by way of the Cross!

The second key to exploiting the weaknesses of the enemy is to
take the battle to him (Luke 10:19). If Rome had not taken the
fight to the Phoenicians, they would have never moved forward
and become a world empire. This begs the question. Why aren’t
we, the children of God, moving forward against darkness? If we
have a commission to GO, then why aren’t we going? The reason we
aren’t taking the battle to the enemy is because we are too
comfortable where we are, and we don’t want to create any
negative waves. We don’t want to stir up the enemy because he
fights back. We are commanded to fight. We are given battle
armor and told to use it against the “wiles of the devil.” We’ve
got to go to battle to win out over darkness. The world is
depending on us. The world needs to be rescued with the saving
message of Jesus Christ. Take the battle to him. Go!

The third key to exploiting the enemy’s weakness is to remain
vigilant (IPet.5:8-9). Rome defeated the Phoenician navy, but
there were two more major wars to come. If Rome had not stayed
vigilant after the first Punic War, she would have been caught
off guard and defeated. What is the cost of freedom? It is
eternal vigilance. Keep your eyes on Jesus always.

Keep the faith. Stay the course. Jesus is coming soon.

LISTEN TO THE RADIO - WRITE BETTER E-CONTENT Friday, Apr 25 2008

Recently, I was asked to write a radio program for a non-
profit organization. I had worked in broadcast journalism
for many years before I switched to online communications
and really enjoyed getting back to my radio roots.

But something interesting happened as I was writing the
script. Over and over again, I noticed just how much radio
writing and effective web content have in common:

=>Both depend on high impact, attention-getting statements:
“Weight loss without misery is possible if you…”; “The
President has been found in a compromising position…”;
“Want to know how to get your teens to talk to you?”

=>Both forms benefit from short, punchy sentences that use
basic language and get to the point fast. E-business
consultant Philip Say even uses radio lingo when he
explains how to write strong e-mail newsletters and sales
letters.

He says, “Sound bites are the most effective way to grab
the attention of the reader. The challenge today is to
deliver short, meaningful messages that will initiate a
conversation with your audience. You have to pack a punch
into 50 words or fewer.”

The average 30-second radio commercial has only 50 to 80
words. So writing a radio spot for your online product or
service is a good exercise in how to write tight. And it’s
a good lesson in ruthless editing, possibly the hardest and
most important part of the writing process!

=>Both radio and web content communicate better without
jargon or foreign terms. I once used the French word
“ennui” instead of “boredom” in one of my marketing
articles. As a result, the piece sounded pretentious and
I looked like a twit.

=>Both radio and web writing are improved by personality.
Think about the radio announcers you like best. Probably
you enjoy their voices as much as what they say. Your
online content needs a voice too. For a good example of
this, check out the very distinctive personality of The
Newbie Club (http://www.newbieclub.com), which carries
right over into their newsletters.

=>The audience must come first. Radio announcers often
pretend they are talking to just one person, imagining
that person’s age, their lifestyle, their hopes and dreams.
(I once worked for a very earnest radio station that had
the production staff dress up a life-size doll to represent
their ideal demographic - sort of a crash test dummy for
target marketing!) You don’t have to go that far, but aim
what you’re saying/writing to that one person who
represents your target audience. They are the reason for
what you do.

Now start listening to radio with a critical ear. Practice
writing content as if it’s for radio. It may help you inject
some real personality into your ads, e-zine or website.

Two Powerful Tools Copywriters Can Use to Increase Their Productivity — and Profits! Friday, Apr 25 2008

How disciplined are you?

If you’re like most freelancers, you love the “time freedom” of
your lifestyle. No more punching a time clock or being chained
to a desk. No more “hanging up quickly” when the boss walks by.

As a freelancer those days are gone forever…but one quickly
learns that in order to make a great living as a copywriter,
you’re now the “boss” to whom you must be accountable!

It’s ironic, to be sure. And as you strive for higher and higher
income and greater and greater success, you’ll realize that
neither will come without strict time discipline on your part.

Setting Your “Policy”

Now that you work from home (as most freelance writers do),
people will know that you’re available for rides to the airport
and other favors. Since part of the pleasure of freelancing is
its time flexibility, you might want to be able to say “yes”
from time to time.

However there’s a big danger lurking called “part time work,”
and if you spend too much time not working, you wind up with
“part time pay.” If you have a family or small children,
enormous amounts of time can also be siphoned away through small
but endless interruptions.

The best way to deal with “time thieves” is to institute a
“policy,” as most businesses do. When you say “I’m sorry, my
policy is to devote two hours per week to doing favors and this
week I’ve already used them up,” you’ll probably find little
resistance. That’s because policies are like printed signs:
people rarely argue with them.

A Simple But Powerful Daily Schedule Document

As a freelancer, you’ll need to create your own work system and
your own documents. Over the years I’ve refined my own system
and documents to near perfection (I’m always changing and
improving as ideas come to me).

One of my most powerful documents is my “Daily Timesheet and
Schedule.” It helps me prioritize my most important projects,
lays out what I need to do in half hour increments, shames me
into doing my daily exercise routine, and forces me to be
accountable throughout the day. If someone needs a favor of me,
it must go on the Daily Schedule where it “bumps” a work item.

Here is the Formula for Creating Your Own “Task Master”

Since it’s so easy for us freelancers to procrastinate when
we’re faced with a task we’d rather put off, I put right at the
top of my Daily Schedule the question, “How will I earn money
today?” And then I must write it down in the top position for
that day’s work.

This forces me to put aside the fun but less important jobs, to
focus on the most lucrative.

My Daily Schedule also has two columns: the left hand column is
for “Task”; the right hand column is for “Activity.” The Task
column shows what I should be doing at any appointed time. The
Activity column shows what I AM doing.

Having to write down what I’m actually doing under “Activity”
exposes those moments when I’m doing something I shouldn’t be
doing…those time-wasters that detract from my income. You can
imagine how powerful it is to acknowledge — by physically
writing it down — that you’re not doing what you’re supposed to
be doing!

If you adopt this system for keeping you on the
straight-and-narrow, be sure to create your plan for the day the
night before. That way you can gather the tools, papers,
research and other items you need so you can truly stay on
schedule throughout the day.

By working from such a schedule you can identify your personal
work weaknesses, increase your billable time and effectiveness,
and conquer your procrastination.

Try this system for yourself and see if you don’t get more done,
earn more, and feel more successful — because you are!

What If You Could See Your Sales Sky-Rocket Using 5 Simple Steps? Thursday, Apr 24 2008

If you want to multiply your sales, profits and dollars in your bank account, then this might be the most important article you’ll ever read.

If you want to create life-time paying customers, then I urge you to check out these simple tricks that can BOOST your profits through the ROOF.

If you’re sick and tired of seeing low sales pouring in, then here’s good news.

Apply these 5 simple steps and I bet you will see your sales counter EXPLODE…

STEP 1 - Follow Up With Your Customers.

When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a “thank you” email and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You could follow-up every few months.

STEP 2 - Upsell Quality Products.

You could upsell to your customers. When they’re at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. They could just add it to their original order.

STEP 3 - Ask for Referrals.

Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales.

STEP 4 - Let them Join Your Affiliate Program.

When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale you just made.

STEP 5 - Give Resell Rights.

Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad with the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.

If you can use more new customers and sales, and I mean TONS of new customers to your site then start using the simple easy to follow 5 step system.

These powerful, inexpensive ways will help you to bring in all the sales you’ll ever need. The kind of leads that will rocket your sales right off the charts.

One of the most difficult and time consuming tasks in this internet marketing game is to get a continuous flow of traffic to your site.

Reduce Free Radicals: Antioxidants and Olive Oil Wednesday, Apr 23 2008

“If I’d known I was going to live so long, I’d have taken better care of myself.” — Leon Eldred

We live in an age where we are beginning to see an awareness developing between eating habits and good health. Several buzz phrases like low carb, high protein, and Hoodia are mentioned as a means to gaining a better life while honing a better physique.

Another phrase that is repeated often is ”antioxidants”.

What exactly is an antioxidant and why is it important?

Everyone has what is called ‘free radicals’ that roam throughout the body. These free radicals have the potential to attack the body, primarily in the form of cancer. Antioxidants fight back. A nutrition plan that includes antioxidants can assist in staving off the potential for acute illness due to free radicals.

Drinks such as coffee and tea often have a certain amount of antioxidants, but it is fresh fruit that is especially rich in antioxidants. Fruit, of course, remains high on the list of recommended foods by the U.S.D.A., but it may surprise you to know that extra virgin olive oil as part of a balanced diet can provide as much antioxidant as a piece of fruit.

The health benefits of olive oil remain a delightful discovery for many. It’s not often something that adds significant good taste to a gourmet meal and can also be an extremely healthy choice.

A diet that is lean in saturated fats (red meat) balanced with a healthy dose of fatty acids has pointed to a number of health benefits. Most of the fatty acids that your body may need can be found in extra virgin olive oil.

The health benefits of olive oil extend to the reduction of LDL (bad cholesterol) while increasing the amount of HDL (good cholesterol).

Case Study

The University of Barcelona conducted a controlled study that followed 16 individuals that were advised to refrain from certain foods that contained phenols (an antioxidant designed to attack free radicals). After abstaining for four days the test group was given extra virgin olive oil to determine if this alone could increase the levels of phenol in the body.

50ml of olive oil was provided to test subjects while they refrained from things like butter, nuts, eggs and margarine. After the first day the total intake of olive oil was cut in half. One week later, blood samples indicated elevated amounts of the antioxidants vitamin E and phenols. Oleic acid and monounsaturated fatty acids were also seen at higher levels - both acids are indicative of lower LDL (bad cholesterol) oxidation.

Some researchers believe that the health benefits of olive oil may still be untapped, and many have indicated regular ingestion of olive oil may be one of the best kept health secrets available.

Beyond its antioxidant properties, extra virgin olive oil has provided significant data to indicate it may also lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and aid in the fight against colon cancer specifically.

Isn’t it time to discover the virtues of olive oil for yourself?

Living Healthy with Diabetes Tuesday, Apr 22 2008

Diabetes affects around 16 million Americans and about 800,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Diabetes attacks men, women, children and the elderly. It spares no race.

Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure, blindness in Adults and amputations. It is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and birth defects and it shortens life expectancy by up to 15 years. So you can see what I am up against. It is up to me to make sure that none of these things ever happen to my daughter. My daughter Ashley has Diabetes Type 1. She will be 10 years old March 15th. Ashley has been a diabetic for 5 years.

Five years ago I was totally overwhelmed by all that information. I felt helpless and depressed. I was sure this was a death sentence for my daughter. This was because of my total ignorance of Diabetes. A person can live a full life with Diabetes. It just takes some extra care. A good diet plays an important part in a Diabetics life. They need to put together a meal plan with their doctor & dietitian. My daughter has several meals a day. She has breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner & another snack. She has these meals at the same time every day. This is important. It helps keep her body on a schedule and her blood sugar regulated. Skipping meals and snacks may lead to large swings in blood sugar readings. To keep blood sugar levels near normal a Diabetic must balance the food they eat with the insulin the body gets from injections and with physical activities. Blood sugar monitoring gives you the information you need to help with this balancing. Near normal blood sugar readings will help you feel better. Normal is between 70 and 120. They will also reduce your chances of complications.

Lets talk about how a Diabetic needs to eat. Everyone needs to eat nutritious foods. Our good health depends on eating a variety of foods that contain the right amount of Carbohydrate, Protein, Fat, Vitamins, Minerals, Fiber and Water. Carbohydrate, Protein and Fat are found in the food that you eat. They supply your body with energy. Your body needs insulin to use this energy. Insulin is made in the pancreas. If you have Diabetes, either your pancreas is no longer producing insulin or your body can’t use the insulin it is making. So your blood sugar levels are not normal.

Starch and Sugar in foods are Carbohydrates. You can find starch in breads, pasta, cereal, potatoes, beans, peas and lentils. Natural sugars are in fruits, milk and vegetables. There are added sugars in desserts, candy, jam and syrup. All of these Carbohydrates can affect your blood sugar. When you eat Carbohydrates they turn into glucose and travel in your bloodstream. Insulin helps the glucose enter the beta cells in your pancreas where it can be turned into energy and stored. Eating the same amount of Carbohydrate daily at meals and snacks can help you control your blood sugar levels. Protein is in meats, poultry, fish, milk and other dairy products, eggs, beans, peas and lentils. Starches and vegetables have small amounts of protein. The body uses protein for growth, maintenance and energy. Your body needs insulin to use the protein you eat.

Fat is in margarine, butter, oils, salad dressings, nuts, seeds, milk, cheese, meat, fish, poultry, snack food, ice-cream and desserts. There are three different types of fat. Monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated. Everyone should eat less saturated fats found in meats, dairy products, coconut, palm or palm kernel oil, and hardened shortening.

Saturated fats can raise your blood levels of cholesterol. The fats that are best are the monounsaturated fats found in canola oil, olive oil, nuts, and avocado. The polyunsaturated fats found in corn oil, soybean oil, or sunflower oil are good too. After you eat fat it travels through your bloodstream. You need insulin to store fat in the cells of your body. Fats are used for energy.

So you can see what a big role insulin plays in your body. Good diet is very important for a Diabetic. Excersize is also very important. A Diabetic can live a healthy full life if they do three things. Eat healthy, Excersize, and inject the right amount of insulin. It takes dedication and hard work. But in the end it is totally worth it because it is your life.
