Budget Web Hosting - Dirty Secrets That Can Squash Your Websites Chance of Success Tuesday, May 27 2008

When it comes to budget web hosting, there are a lot of dirty secrets that can really hurt your chance of success. However, if you know about these dirty secrets, you will be prepared and better able to handle any possible problems before they arise. Review the following secrets and make sure you know for sure what your web host is about before you sign up and risk your websites chance of success.

Secret #1 No Experience

There are many budget web hosts on the web that have not been around for very long and have little to no experience at all. The last thing you want to do is sign up with a company that is brand new and inexperienced and be part of their learning curve. Instead, find a web host that has years of experience and is happy to outline the year they started, their growth, and total experience level.

Secret #2 24/7 Support

If you are a company looking for a budget web host, all you want is to be pay less and still get all of the perks of more expensive web hosts, such as 24/7 support. Some budget web hosts do not offer any information on their level of support, but some claim to offer 24/7 support and then actually don’t. Before you sign any agreements with a budget web host, make sure you know whether they answer the phone at 3 a.m. on weekdays or anytime on weekends. Whether the phone is answered or not will be a very good sign as to whether you should sign up with them or keep searching.

Secret #3 Service Level Agreement

Read the service level agreement that is provided by the budget web host. If they do not have one then definitely move on, and if it is not a strong agreement that outlines exactly what will happen and the type of service you will receive in the event of a problem, then you should move on as well. The reason for this is because all web hosts will run into a glitch here or there and you need to know how that will be handled and how it will affect you before entering into the agreement.

Secret #4 Host?

Another dirty little secret is many budget web hosts companies are not solely web host companies but offer a variety of other businesses or products as well. You do not want to be in a situation such as this, you want a web host that only focuses on web hosting. Ask before you sign any agreements or give credit card numbers what kind of business they are and where their revenue comes from. This will help you make a decision about whether or not this is the web host for you.

There are many other dirty secrets that are swept under the carpet in regards to the budget web hosting business. The best thing you can do is to simply ask a lot of questions, do a little research, and use the answers you find to help you make your decision.

Article Writing Tips for Realtors Tuesday, May 27 2008

The best kind of link to a search engine is the link that comes for no reason but great content. These one way links are by definition a link on a web page pointing to yours that is not reciprocal, that is the other person does not expect a link back. There are many, many ways to do this but the first best way to get these one way links are as following:

First make sure that the content that you have on your site is great original content. Think about the things that you are writing and try to get into detail on the issues that you are covering. The best way to do this is to make it a habit to write an article once a week, or every two weeks or even once a month and then post the article to article directories. My favorite article directory is Ezine Articles and the next favorite for me is Idea Marketers. Also you can submit your article to many other places on and off of the internet.

The places to make sure that you submit your articles to is local newspapers and magazines as well as to online submission services such as PR Web. With PR Web you can get syndicated across the country with a good article but you will have to pay $80 or so to get it promoted properly by them.

The next thing you are probably wondering about is what is an article? What do I write?

An article to me is a minimum of 500 words and up to about 1500 words. Any longer than that and it will be hard to get it published anywhere and any shorter than the short end and it will be hard to really cover a subject well. I always try to go into some good detail as this will draw in a reader and keep them interested enough. When you submit your articles it is important to make sure that you have a good cal to action in the “resource box” The resource box is the information part of the article that allows the people reading the article to know who you are and where to go for more information. The best article in your eyes is one that captivates the reader to the point that they are drawn by the resource box to click the link to get to your web page for more information. And to any ezine publishers or other web publishers the article has to provide info that they think will make them look even better to their readers so something that really illustrates their attitude toward the issue that you cover.

This leads directly to what you can write about and how do you write it.

It is a great start to write about the things that are going on in your real estate market, if the market is active or quiet, if prices are going up or down and especially if you have some great anecdotes or stories about actual buyers and sellers then your article will be even better.

One way to get a good idea of what makes a good entertaining article is to go to USA Today and see the type of writing that they employ, Your writing must be simple and as you have probably heard before you do want to make sure that you are writing to an elementary school writing level. The reason that you want to write in simple words and with short sentences is not to demean or even to expect that your readers are not intelligent but rather you want to write so that a reader is not distracted by large words or complex sentence structure. Another thing that is very important to do is after you write your article make sure that you break it into small paragraphs, in a persons mind smaller paragraphs make an article easier to read.

Next you will want to come up with a style for writing articles. I like to have one idea and then freeform write about is until the idea is over and then edit after that. My system is not for everyone and probably the best way is to pull out a piece of paper and get the main topic written down and then all the subtopics that you want to cover. From here you want to write an introductory paragraph introducing the main topic and then write a paragraph covering each of the subtopics until all are exhausted and finally wrap it up with a quick paragraph pulling together the importance of the main topic again referencing each of the subtopics.

Lastly keep a page in your daytimer or at least a piece of paper in your wallet and several times a day write down article ideas, not only will this help you formulate your ideas for articles but also it will help you find content for your weblog. So how long is this article? It comes in at a total of 850 words.

Not bad for a half hours work.

No more financial problems with payday loan Tuesday, May 27 2008

As with all payday loan it is best to take a complete search of the market before you apply for a fast online minikrediet for aount 463 euro so you can compare interest rates and make sure you are getting the best deal for your needs. In the majority of instances for every 316 euro you borrow you have to pay back 252 euro, meaning 15 interest. If you apply for an online minikrediet for 384 euro you will usually have to fill out an online form and attach copies of your documentation in an email, or by fax.

For many it simply can’t arrive soon enough as we attempt to juggle bills and expenses, as well as trying to have a little fun in life. A direct minikrediet is a way to solve a short-term cash issue for amounts like 407 euro.

of us count down the minutes until payday? The charge you need to observe is how much you pay back on the amount you borrow - this is a fixed sum dependent on the individual provider. It’s easy to compare minikrediet with us and hopefully you’ll soon have the cash you need to get by without worrying how far away your next payday may be.

However, for lengthier journeys you are better to use a method of transport that specialises in long distances such as a train or plane, fast minikrediet are certainly a short-term special. Unexpected expenses can hit even those who keep a tight grip on their finances if something goes wrong in the home, a family member needs support or you receive a larger than expected bill you might require cash to help you get by until your next wage slip.

However, this does vary with some providers charging 29 interest and so on. However, it is not necessary to use the loan for this purpose and effectively the cash can be used at your discretion as long as it is paid back with interest during the short loan term. The premise behind direct online minikrediet is simple whatever you need 366 euro for, you can take out a loan (usually ranging from 363 euro but sometimes up to 1,000 depending on the provider) that is repayable on your next payday, whether it is 8 months away or less.

Be sure to use the gsm minikrediet comparison tool at online minikrediet aanvragen to compare rates. You must however, be able to satisfy the fast online minikrediet provider that you will have enough cash available to cover the advance repayment they will look at how much you can afford to pay back on an individual basis between 200 euro. This is where a 10 minutes minikrediet comes in, offering a suitable sum of money to help you get by.

Treadmills Shed Calories Tuesday, May 27 2008

Treadmills are a great way to workout. They give a complete body workout and help in shedding the calories very fast. However they are high impact cardio vascular machines and doctor’s advice is needed before you can start working out on a treadmill. Thus it can put strain on the knee muscles and the joints. Hence patients who have arthritis in the knee, or foot and knee problems are advised to stay away from treadmills. Treadmills should be bought only after reading the treadmill reviews as well as treadmill ratings.

Manual treadmills cost a lot less but don’t provide too many functions, which the higher end models do. For home use also, many people prefer the powered treadmill as it gives them a variety of workouts in their home. These disadvantages withstanding the treadmills machines provide a great workout. Whatever be the time of the day and the season, one can easily workout and keep in shape whether at the gym or at home with a treadmill.

Another disadvantage of the treadmill is that many people have been known to fall off the ramp. While exercising, this can cause injury. Hence many of the come with a safety latch, therefore the treadmill machines become more safe. One end of the latch is attached to the clothing of the exerciser, while the other is attached to the machine. If the person goes too far, the safety latch is detached from the machine, which brings the treadmill to the stop.

When buying a treadmill, look for the treadmills which have got good treadmill reviews as well as good treadmill ratings. You can look for these on the websites dedicated to exercise and treadmills as well as magazines. There are many options to choose from. These range from the manual to the powered and the electrical treadmills. They can start as low as $200 and can cost up to $3000.

Parenting Tip: The 7 Step Guide to Child Development Using Teaching Material with Child Stories Sunday, May 25 2008

Copyright 2006 Paul Arinaga

Child stories are an excellent way to promote child development.
You can use teaching material along with children’s stories to
teach moral lessons, factual knowledge or emotional intelligence.

The beauty of using child stories in this way is that children
learn without feeling like they’re “learning”; they learn by
osmosis.

Using stories to teach also gets children to really think about
things. They can actively get involved in the story rather than
just passively listening to it or reading it.

So, how can YOU use stories in this way? When you follow these 7
simple steps, you’ll find that using stories to teach is
incredibly easy, and fun, too!

#1 Decide what you want to teach

What do you want your child or students to learn? How do you
want them to feel at the end of the “lesson”?

#2 Ask specific questions about events or characters from the
story

Questions such as “why did this happen?”, “why did Santa do
that?” or “how do think Billy felt?” are good examples. Try to
get children to “analyze” the story - to think about why
something happened and its consequences, the motivations and
feelings of characters, etc.

#3 Relate the story to the child’s own life/experiences

This is KEY - by doing so the child will assimilate the
lesson(s) of the story. It becomes more real and personal for
the child. Ask questions like “how would you feel if…” or “do
you ever feel like [character]?”

#4 Use props and visual aids

This is particularly useful for teaching factual information
(e.g. anatomy), but you can also use it to provide visual cues
that help children get into the story (imagine it more easily)
and remember it better.

#5 Have them get physical

Besides getting them to think, you can get them to act out the
story, perhaps even creating their own version of it. They’ll
really feel like the story and its lessons are a part of them.
Moreover, when children move their own bodies, the story becomes
more real and personal for them. This also helps kinesthetic
learners.

#6 Have them relate the story to the larger world

After you get them to relate the story to their own experience,
you can really expand a child’s mind by having him or her relate
the story to the larger world.

#7 Create a lesson plan

It’s obviously good to prepare, but you don’t need to spend a
great deal of time on it, and even parents can create a simple
lesson plan. You can also find ready to use lesson plans and
children’s stories at:
http://www.child-stories-bank.com/teaching-material.html.

Conclusion

In my experience, “success” and “happiness” are not determined
so much by talent and (technical) knowledge (although they are
important, too) as they are by character and emotional
intelligence. By using child stories to help build character and
emotional intelligence, you can put your children or students on
the path to lifelong success and happiness.

Inoculate Yourself Against Bad PR Sunday, May 25 2008

What is bad PR?

Well, if you’re a business, non-profit or association
manager, bad PR does nothing positive about the
behaviors of those important outside audiences of
yours that most affect your operation.

It fails to create external stakeholder behavior change
leading directly to achieving your managerial objectives.

And it never does persuade those key outside folks to
your way of thinking, or move them to take actions that
allow your department, division or subsidiary to succeed.

Good PR, on the other hand, really CAN alter individual
perception and lead to the changed behaviors you need.
At the same time, however, it requires more than special
events, brochures and news releases if you really want to
get your PR money’s worth.

Your inoculation against bad PR is the underlying premise
of public relations, and here it is: people act on their own
perception of the facts before them, which leads to
predictable behaviors about which something can be done.
When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by
reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired-action the very
people whose behaviors affect the organization the most,
the public relations mission is accomplished.

You may be surprised that good PR can generate results like
prospects starting to work with you; customers making
repeat purchases; stronger relationships with the educational,
labor, financial and healthcare communities; improved
relations with government agencies and legislative bodies,
and even capital givers or specifying sources looking your way

As the effort gains momentum, you can also see results
such as new proposals for strategic alliances and joint ventures;
rebounds in showroom visits; membership applications on the
rise; community service and sponsorship opportunities; enhanced
activist group relations, and expanded feedback channels, not
to mention new thoughtleader and special event contacts.

Just how vital is it that your most important outside audiences
really perceive your operations, products or services in a
positive light? Vital indeed, so assure yourself that your PR
staff has bought into the whole effort. Be especially careful
that they accept the reality that perceptions almost always
lead to behaviors that can help or hurt your unit.

Take the time to review the PR blueprint in detail with
your staff, especially how you will gather and monitor
matters by questioning members of your most important
outside audiences. Questions like these: how much do you
know about our organization? How much do you know
about our services or products and employees? Have you
had prior contact with us and were you pleased with the
interchange? Have you experienced problems with our
people or procedures?

The perception monitoring phases of your program can
obviously be handled by professional survey people, IF the
budget is available. But always keep in mind that your PR
people are also in the perception and behavior business and
can pursue the same objective: identify untruths, false
assumptions, unfounded rumors, inaccuracies,
misconceptions and any other negative perception that
might translate into hurtful behaviors.

Now, let’s talk about your public relations goal. You need
one that speaks to the aberrations that showed up during
your key audience perception monitoring. In all probability,
it will call for straightening out that dangerous misconception,
or correcting that gross inaccuracy, or doing something about
that damaging rumor.

The realities of public relations are that goals need strategies
to show you how to get there. And also that you have just
three strategic choices when it comes to handling a perception
or opinion challenge: create perception where there may
be none, change the perception, or reinforce it. Unfortunately,
a bad strategy pick will taste like ice cream on your corned
beef and cabbage, so be certain the new strategy fits well
with your new public relations goal. For example, you don’t
want to select “change” when the facts dictate a “reinforce”
strategy.

Your PR team must create just the right, corrective language.
Persuading an audience to your way of thinking is awfully
hard work, so we’re looking for words that are compelling,
persuasive and believable AND clear and factual. You must
do this if you are to correct a perception by shifting opinion
towards your point of view, leading to the desired behaviors.

Here you must select the communications tactics most likely
to carry your words to the attention of your target audience.
Meet again with your communications specialists and review
your message for impact and persuasiveness. You can pick
from dozens of available tactics. From speeches, facility tours,
emails and brochures to consumer briefings, media interviews,
newsletters, personal meetings and many others. Just be sure
that the tactics you pick are known to reach folks just like
your audience members.

On the chance that the old line about the credibility of a
message depending on its delivery method is true, you might
think about introducing it to smaller gatherings rather than
using higher-profile communications such as news releases or
talk show appearances.

Consider yourself alerted when the topic of a progress report
is suggested. Time for you and your PR folks to return to the
field for a second perception monitoring session with members
of your external audience. Using many of the same questions
used in the first benchmark session, you’ll now be watching
very carefully for signs that your communications tactics have
worked and that the negative perception is being altered in your
direction.

If impatience rears its head, you can always accelerate things
with a broader selection of communications tactics AND increased frequencies.

Obviously, this will convert bad PR into good PR by doing
something positive about the behaviors of those important
outside audiences of yours that most affect your operation.
It will do the job by creating external stakeholder behavior
change leading directly to achieving your managerial
objectives. And it will pull this off by persuading those key
outside folks to your way of thinking, thus moving them to
take actions that allow your business, non-profit or association
to succeed.

Forgiveness: the Power to Overcome Sunday, May 25 2008

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have an instant formula that would
turn all your problems, hurts and fears into a
happily-ever-after outcome?

There are lotions and potions, medical diagnoses and hundreds of
articles and books written on feeling good and being happy. Yet,
too many of us are feeling loaded down, bent over and depressed
due to life’s heavy demands on us. Thoughts keep screaming at us
how we have been maltreated, snubbed and gotten a bad rap! How
can you be happy with all this hanging over your head? After
all, it’s true!

Just today I called a friend to see how she was doing after a
long ordeal with doctors, hospital mistakes and lots pf pain.
You see, Marlene had not one, or two, but three brain aneurysms.
Soon after the procedure for the first one she was sent home
with much pain and discomfort. To make a very long story short,
her doctor refused to check into the cause of the persistent
pain, instead telling her that “it was all in her head” and that
she would have to live with it.

It was only after much research and sheer determination that
Marlene found a team of doctors in another local hospital who
had pioneered an alternate, less invasive procedure to “loop”
the other two aneurysms. They agreed to work on her, and in the
process it was discovered that she had contracted the dreaded
“hospital infection” which had progressed to such a degree that
by then it was too late to merely treat it with drugs. The whole
left side of her cranium had to be removed and the membrane
carefully rolled up inside in order to carefully remove it.
Subsequently the cranium was supported for months from within by
“spanners” to keep it from caving in, and eventually balloons
were inserted weekly for another six months or so to expand the
shrunken ligaments in preparation for the reconstruction of the
left side of the head.

Marlene was not a happy camper! During her ordeal her husband
had left her, she was in constant pain, and depression plagued
her constantly. Just as the end seemed to be in sight and a date
was to be finalized for the plastic surgery, it was discovered
that once again the same infection had recurred. Furthermore,
she now had an inoperable brain tumor! M.R.I. or brainscans were
impossible because of the metal loops and spanners inside the
head!

Five more months of terror and exhaustion later, the doctor in
question finally acknowledged that the “tumor” was actually an
object carelessly left behind by them during one of their
procedures. Marlene was suddenly bombarded with advice from
family, friends and strangers to sue the hospitals in question
and/or the doctors. After all, she had rights and deserved
proper compensation for all her distress that now spanned over
three years! In her bitterness she had been contemplating it for
a while.

During her ordeal Marlene had started looking into the Word of
God, reading it, believing it and … relying on it. She had
come to realize that the more she thought about the negatives
the more depressed she felt. She did not want to sue, primarily
as she did not want to prolong the agony of having to endure all
the bitter mental anguish again and again during a trial. Today
she declared to me jubulantly that for the first time in this
long battle she was now able to laugh. I can laugh again, she
reported excitedly, because I made a decision in my heart to
forgive everyone for their mistakes. The minute she had made
that decision, it felt as if a five-hundred-pound weight had
been lifted off her back. She was not the same person I had been
trying to encourage for a long time. It was not the old Marlene
that had come back. No, this was a Marlene who was totally
empowered in the knowledge that forgiveness, according to the
Word of God, has indeed set her free! This was a gal who can now
laugh at her ordeal and truthfully say that without it she would
not have got the Wisdom, faith and power through that faith to
overcome.

Marlene is now living one precious day at a time, looking only
at the wonderful and good things in her life, being thankful for
them, and trusting God to lead her further. She is not out of
her danger zone yet. She still has to undergo the operation to
remove the “debris” in her head and then still the
reconstruction of her skull. But now she is in total peace,
trusting, hopeful and convicted - not by mere human intellect -
that she is an overcomer.
